Step on board for a fun filled day in St Lucia, a complete change of scenery and an excursion rich in authentic cultural discoveries !
Our day begins at 6:45am, with a departure from Marin in the early hours of the morning. A warm welcome, 23m long catamaran, trampolines, warm wind and local tea… it’s time for an adventure ! The journey to St Lucia lasts approximately 2.5 hours. The team will be sure to share their knowledge on the history of these the two neighbouring islands, St Lucia and Martinique, while you enjoy the navigation and beautiful views.
Arriving in the capital Castries, you will meet Gégé, a french man who has been settled in St Lucia for the last 17 years, and your guide for the day. Gége will show you around the city, the catholic church and Castries’ famous artisan market, while explaining the ins and outs of St Lucian society : culture and traditions, the economy, politics and history… After buying a few things in the market, an air conditioned bus awaits you at midday to head to the charming Marigot Bay. Along the way, you’ll marvel at the St Lucian countryside, amazing views and the winding roads through the mountains and valleys. Its at « JJ’s Paradis », a unique restaurant between the sea and mountains, reminiscent of « Pirates of the Caribbean » that you’ll stop for lunch. Planteur cocktail, « accras », fish or meat, the meal is satisfying and full of flavour A quick dip in the pool to cool off and its time to head back to the catamaran for a journey to the north of the island, Pigeon island and Rodney Bay. Relaxing on deck, you sail along the coasts to the sound of Caribbean music. Once in Rodney bay, it’s time to make the most of a refreshing swim in the sea or walk along the warm white sand. With your amazing day still in mind, you’ll return to Martinique, accompanied by the birds in the sky and dolphins swimming nearby, arriving in time to see the sun set over the hills in Diamant.
Arriving in Marin it’s smiles all around and only one thing in mind : to return to St Lucia !!
